3 days old, 72 hours, 4, 320 minutes old. What a beautiful little nugget this boulder baby is. The whirling energy of Carina’s older siblings created a dynamic and spontaneous newborn portrait session. From authentic smiles and giggles to refusing to look at the camera despite how many fairy princess’ were flying around in my camera lens, I love the day in the life feeling of this newborn session.

I am catching up on work as my computer was unhappy last week. Stayed tuned for a bunch of posts this week.

Newborn photography tips…warm temperatures, swaddling and lots of milk are key ingredients to a newborn session to keep your newborn asleep and happy. Try it! Also, don’t be afraid to move furniture around in order to get the best light in your home. For Owen’s session, I had to move some chairs around to find the best light and this little guy just glows.

On April 29th, I will be doing outdoor mini sessions in Boulder. Your investment is $275 for the session and will have both morning and afternoon sessions available.

Each sessions is 30 minutes long and will include 2 4×6 prints, 2 5×7 prints, 2 8×10 prints, and 1 11×14 print.

They inspired me capture real life as it happens to find the decisive moment. In the middle of Alice and Chloe’s portrait session, Isabelle strolled into the frame. Life happened and I love what happened.

Julie and Ray are expecting a baby boy in January, 2012. Their furry friend, Josie, is going to be in for a bit of surprise as she is definitely their first baby.

Searching for a bunting to bring to the winter maternity session, Julie found the perfect treasure at Firefly Handmade from Elevated Scraps. Here is Maggie’s little brother, Max, who is six weeks old. There is really nothing better than a newborn. He is just the sweetest little guy.

I just love their hats! Max’s grandmother knit them for the family and I think they are just so perfect.

A picture perfect newborn at just 7 weeks old. Fall is my favorite time of year as the colors start to change and the air has a chill to it. We had such a wonderful morning in Boulder for our session.

Not only does Brian make a delicious sandwich at Dish, but he and Stacey make totally adorable kids. Rory is such a sweet chubby mellow baby and Toby is one of the funniest kids around. You should check out his blog!
