Family is the definition holiday season. For me, I can loose track of the important things during the holiday season. I will blame it on the extra wine and cookies, a total sugar coma.

On Christmas day, I received an email from the Elliot family wanting to schedule a winter portrait session with grandparents, parents, brother, sister, and cousins. Here are a few from our Boulder winter wonderland.

Heather Williams is a new Colorado Stylist for Stella and Dot and last week we worked together to create some gorgeous portraits for her Facebook page. Luckily, we got a day with no wind as I prefer to shoot outside for head shots! The boulder winds were just wild last week.

The Oremus | Boulder newborn photographer

The biggest compliment a photographer can received is to be hired again and again by the same family. When Kim was pregnant with with Sydney, I documented the start of their family in Boulder. So much as changed as Sydney is now 3 and is a big sister to her baby brother, Beckett, 7 weeks old.

I had a blast playing with Sydney making her photos. I helped her pick out her pretty pink outfit and we went from room to room jumping on bed, rolling around with her dog, and even unrolled the toilet paper in the bathroom.

On a business note, I have a personal goal to get 500 fans on my Facebook page. Starting in Janaury, I am going to be raffling off 25 handmade letterpress calendars created by Bird Dog Press and 10 $50 gift certificates for sessions. Once I reach my goal of 500 fans, I will raffle off a free session and all you have to do to enter is like my page. I will be traveling to New York City, Los Angeles, Georgian Bay, Vermont, New Hampshire in 2012 so just because you don’t live in Colorado doesn’t mean you can’t win. Share with friends and family far and wide! A million thank yous!

New Year, New Baby | Boulder maternity photography

Julie and Ray are expecting a baby boy in January, 2012. Their furry friend, Josie, is going to be in for a bit of surprise as she is definitely their first baby.

Searching for a bunting to bring to the winter maternity session, Julie found the perfect treasure at Firefly Handmade from Elevated Scraps. The annual winter market was last weekend at BMOCA, and I found amazing handmade treasures. Don’t fret if you miss this market, the next one will be in April at The Makerie. Lily | Boulder Holiday Portrait Sessions

It has been crazy crazy! Holiday season is here and I have not even started any shopping. I might be trouble at the stores next week.

This portrait was taken right after Thanksgiving. I think this will be the perfect present for everyone in Lily’s family this year. What do you think?

Do you need an authentic, natural and beautiful portrait of your family for your holiday card? It is not too late! I am opening up two Sundays for outdoor holiday portraits sessions.

Here are the details.

Sunday November 20 & 27

Sessions are a half hour long and will include private online gallery 12-15 professionally edited images from the session, 1 5×7 print, 1 8×10 print, and 1 11×14 print + 1 high resolution digital file. Your investment is $250 for the session. I have both morning and afternoon sessions available.
