Emily + Scott | Denver Engagement Session, Wash Park

Winter has rolled into Colorado again this afternoon. Luckily, I met up with Emily and Scott at Wash Park last Sunday for their engagement session and Colorado sunshine was bright and warm. Our furry companions, Bear and Cooper, were fun additions to the session.

Emily and Scott are planning a beautiful summer New Hampshire wedding in June. Her mom has been buying antiques to decorate the wedding and an old wooden boat will be driving Emily to the island for the ceremony. Doesn’t it sound like a fairytale? I just can’t wait.

I love fresh food and the farmer’s market. I love that Chad sells me my mushrooms on Saturdays. The Food Evanglista is also a lover of whole foods and everything fresh. Her blog is filled with great recipe ideas and should not be missed.

Holly could not take a bad photo if she tried. A mom, a wife, and publisher of Mountain Living, Holly was radiant during the shoot with her boys. And her husband, Michael, just opened Walter’s Pizzeria in Denver on Pearl Street. A powerhouse couple! Next time we go to the zoo or the museum we are going have to stop by Walter’s. Pizza is a family favorite and they have gluten free!

In June, I visited Mt.Falcon park on assignment for 5280 magazine’s August issue. The mellow terrain is perfect training ground for you toddler hiker and you get great views of both Red Rocks and Denver. Check out the story for even more great hiking and biking places.

I love it when a good friend asks me to photograph them. Mariah and Derek are some of my first friends in Colorado and they are expecting a little girl in just a few weeks. Our plans changed a little bit due to an afternoon thunderstorm and ate dinner first at Protos, my favorite.

After a delicious pizza, we headed out to capture their expanding family. Linus and Jasper were all too curious to what was going on with their parents.

If I can recommend one thing to do before the baby arrives, it is spoil yourself. Go out to dinner, get your toes painted, and see lots of movies!
