Cristi and I had been emailing all week attempting to decipher the weekend weather. Sunny, raining, cloudy, raining, sunny? The Boulder forecast was like my dog trying to make a decision to be inside or outside, constantly changing her mind and driving me crazy. Luckily for me, Cristi was totally game for taking a risk and it paid off.

Between beautiful green Boulder, Marley (the sweetest dog besides mine), umbrellas, and beer from the Southern Sun on Pearl Street, this engagement session was just so much fun! Cristi and Mark are just the cutest and I absolutely can’t wait for their September wedding.

Cheryl + Scott’s Piney Ranch Wedding | Vail Wedding Photographer

On Friday, I was delighted to see Cheryl and Scott’s Piney Ranch wedding posted on 100 Layer Cake. Cheryl worked tirelessly to dream up all kinds of details for her Colorado Mountain wedding.

For example, she found all these vintage paddles on Three Potato Four and used them to mark the way to Piney Ranch as well as a guest book. So crafty!

Before the pounding of little feet and screams of “I want my milky” begin, I quietly sip my morning tea and sift through all my morning emails, most of which are flash sales and groupon deals. On Saturday it poured, but Sunday was gorgeous for Jill & Mike’s wedding ceremony at Chautauqua. What a special place to get married with the flatirons towering in the background. Then what could be better than a reception at The Kitchen on Pearl Street. It was party!

Weddings have a format, but it is the details that make each individual wedding unique and tell the couple’s story. From the dress, shoes, socks, a saxophone serenade and flowers, no detail was misplaced or forgotten. To view a slide show of the day, click here.
