Egg hunt + Easter pizza brunch | Boulder lifestyle photographer

The quiet hum of Sunday Edition pulled me out of my Sedar dinner hangover at at 6am on Easter. Grabbing my husband’s size 11 red crocs, I grabbed the bucket of plastic easter eggs and shuffled out into my yard. 6:45am the mama dada yipes emerged and Maddie wanted to check the bathtub to see what the Easter bunny left her. Last year, I put a bike in the bathtub which started a new family tradition. Now Maddie asks everyone what the Easter bunny left in their bathtub.

We had a great Sunday. Sugar, sugar, and more sugar. Then a second Easter egg hunt at our friends house with a pizza brunch. Last year’s brunch was just as much fun.

colorado christmas tree

Yesterday the family took a trip to Pickle Gulch Campground to cut down our own tree. Through the forest service, you can buy a permit for $10 to cut down a tree and help thin out the forest to prevent forest fires. Two kids, one dog, one red sled, and one tiny saw, we hiked a 1/4 miles to find our authentic colorado christmas tree. I think we just found a new family tradition. Once we finish decorating it, I will post a photo of final project.
